Question: Do all homes need CO alarm?
A: All residential structures that contain: - Fossil Fuel burning equipment or have enclosed parking.........
Oil burners, gas appliances, wood burning, gas or propane, coal, pellets, corn-husks burning fireplaces or appliances,or have a gararge attached to the home.
Question: Which detectors can I use, there are so many out there?
A: only UL approved unit.
Question: Where do I need Carbon Monoxide detectors?
A: One in each level of each Dwelling unit including Habitable portions of basement, cellars and attics, but not including crawl spaces.
( this means) 1. One in the basement if it is finished.
2. One on each level of the home, when with in a sleeping area they must be with in ten feet of the door.
3. Mounting instructions: follow the Manufacture's instructions.
Question: If I'm a landlord what are my responsiblities?
A: At a mininum: maintain, test, repaire or replace, if nesessary every CO alarm upon renewal of any lease term for any dwelling unit or on an annual basis which ever is more frequent.

A: No, just call the Fire Station anyone should be able to answer your questions or at least get you to some one who can.
